The Language of Tears

Psalm 126:5 - "THEY THAT SOW IN TEARS SHALL REAP IN JOY."

There is not a person among us who does not speak this language. We may
be from different parts of the world and share different cultures, yet
we all speak this same language. The language that I am referring to is
"THE LANGUAGE OF TEARS".

Tears oftentimes say more than words can ever express. In fact, there
are times when we find that we cannot speak, but, Oh Thank God, our tears
do flow.

We have encountered times when we were so low in our spirits and could
not express the pain or heartache that we felt deep down in our soul.
However, with uplifted faces toward heaven, we simply let our tears
speak rivers of words that only God our Heavenly Father could interpret, for
He is the maker of these "sparkling gems".

How many can say with Job -

Job 16:16 - "My face is foul with weeping..."? In other words, "my face
is red and swollen with weeping..."

Job 30:31 - "My harp also is turned to mourning, and my organ into the
voice of them that weep". My song of praise is turned to loud moaning -
moaning over the conditions of my soul, my family, my marriage, my
church, my nation, etc.

As the Psalmist said in Psalm 6:6 - "I am weary with my groaning; all
the night make I my bed to swim; I water my couch with my tears." In other
words, I soak my pillow with tears and drench my couch with my weeping.

Psalm 42:3 - "My tears have been my meat day and night, while they
continually say unto me, Where is thy God?"

Psalm 80:5 - I am fed with the "bread of tears," and I drink tears in
great measure.

Tears! Tears! Tears! What becomes of these "sparkling gems"? Are they
simply poured out in vain? To what purpose are all our tears?

Psalm 126:5 says, "THEY THAT SOW IN TEARS..." All the tears that drop
from our eyes and roll down our cheeks are precious seeds that God
catches and bottles up for a forthcoming harvest. Just as rain prepares
the ground to receive the seed, our tears prepare the ground, and, at
the same time, are the seeds planted for a mighty harvest.

O Christian! God sees and counts all those tears! They are valuable in
His sight! They speak words unutterable to us but understandable to
God! They are precious seeds for our harvest. If we do not grow weary, we
shall reap in due season if we faint not.

We SHALL reap! Our answers to prayer WILL come!
They that sow in tears SHALL reap in joy!

Ecclesiastes 3:4 - There is a time to weep. But in due season, there
will be a time to laugh.

Luke 6:21 - "...Blessed are ye that weep now: for ye SHALL laugh".

Numbers 23:19 - "God is not a man, that He should lie..." He promised
that if we wept now, we would laugh again some day.

Psalm 51:8 - We SHALL reap in joy! God will make us to hear joy and
gladness once again.

John 16:21 - Look at the woman who travails in childbirth. She has
sorrow for a time; but when the baby is born, she remembers no more her
anguish for the joy.

Jeremiah 31:13 - God promises to turn our mourning into joy. It's not
always going to be this way. Things are going to change.

Take heart, my Christian Brother and Sister.

Psalm 30:5 - "...Weeping may endure for a night, but JOY cometh in the
morning". The darkest hour is right before the dawn!
